John and Kathy Trautner have always shown a deep love for the Girdwood community. The John and Kathy Trautner Scholarship Fund, created in partnership with the Girdwood Lions Club and Four Valleys Community School, reflects their care for the community by providing annual scholarships to local students.
Their involvement with local organizations and genuine passion for helping others have made them a beloved part of the Girdwood community, leaving a heartfelt and lasting impression on those around them.
Kathy remains an active member of the Girdwood community, Lions Club, and supporter of Four Valleys Community School. John J. Trautner passed away on September 19, 2022, at the age of 86 and is laid to rest with full honors at Fort Richardson.
