Goal A: The K-8 program is enriched with community resources.

Goal A: The K-8 program is enriched with community resources.
1. FVCS will organize a K-8 enrichment committee made up of at least one teacher on a rotating basis, the enrichment chairperson and the principal.
Achieved by: Enrichment Committee
2. The FVCS Enrichment Committee will organize and provide at least 7-8 enrichment opportunities for the students of Girdwood School.

Goal B: There is interagency cooperation with the community school.
1. FVCS will display other agency pamphlets and brochures to act as a referral center. This will include the development of a Welcome to Girdwood packet.
2. The community school will cooperate with other non-profits organizations by publishing events in the newsletter and by providing registration forms for community school classes in same.
3. FVCS will offer registration for, through other agencies, two self-help classes or support for teens, adults and/or families, quarterly.

4. Will maintain a community bulletin board and calendar.
5. Will co-sponsor the Alaskan Health Fair by providing public relations for the event and by staffing the building during the event.
6. Will co-sponsor a blood drive with Blood Bank of Alaska.

5. Continue to promote awareness of the Search Institute's developmental assets.

Goal D: There are additional opportunities for the involvement of youth beyond regular K-12 program.
1. To provide, quarterly, at least ten activities involving registration for preschoolers to meet the educational, cultural, recreational and social needs as identified.
2. To provide, quarterly, at least ten elementary after school activities/clubs by facilitating information and registration to meet the recreational, etc. needs of the community.
3. To offer at least three classes and activities annually for jr./sr. high school to promote survival skills, lifestyle goals, home awareness, transition skills into high school, etc.
4. Sponsor School PE Ski program
5. Establish a tutoring network.
6. Continue to provide, along with Turnagain Arm Lions Club, scholarships focusing on community service, for high school seniors who are fulltime residents of the Four Valleys.

1. FVCS will provide a minimum of fifteen classes/activities for adults, quarterly.
2. FVCS wi ll offer a minimum of two classes per year in job related skills/career enhancement.
